2019’s Most Affordable Handguns

Handguns are available at a range of different price points. For the sake of this article, we’re only going to discuss handguns which are priced under $400.

Without further ado, let’s get into 2019’s most affordable handguns.

North American Arms .22 LR

The first handgun we’re going to discuss is this handy little .22 from North American Arms. A mini revolver, it offers not only a classic aesthetic but a good deal of functionality as well.

While it’s not the most powerful gun on the market, it works fine as a defense weapon. Measuring in at 4 inches long, 2.4 inches tall, and 0.9 inches wide, it’s compact and easy to conceal.

Price-wise, this gun is an absolute bargain, available for approximately $225.00. If your goal is to buy the cheapest gun possible, this is one you should focus in on.

Ruger EC9s

Tough and durable, the Ruger EC9 is a 9 mm gun that can withstand quite a bit of abuse. Measuring in at 6 inches long and 4 1/2 inches tall, it’s a little on the large side but is still compact enough to conceal in public.

Equipped with a striker-fired action, this weapon is easy to handle, simple to fire, and terrific for self-defense purposes. Weighing in at 17.2 ounces, it can be safely used by individuals of all strength and size levels.

The price of this gun? It can usually be found between $270 and $299. This makes it one of the most affordable pistols on the market today.

Remington RM380 .380 ACP

Up next is the Remington RM 380 .380 ACP. This little handgun measures in at 5.25 inches long, 3.85 inches tall, and approximately 1 inch wide. While its trigger has been poorly rated in the past, there have been no negative comments made over its general ability to get the job done.

A pure self-defense weapon, it possesses a hammer-fired action. Constructed out of metal, it’s as tough and as durable as guns come.

In terms of price, this gun is extremely affordable. You can generally find it between $240 and $275.

Beretta Pico .380 ACP

Another compact handgun is the Beretta Pico .380 ACP. Measuring in at 5.1 inches long, 4 inches tall, and 0.725 inches wide, it can be concealed, regardless of what you’re doing or what you’re wearing.

And this gun isn’t just compact. It’s also lightweight, coming in at a scarce 11.5 ounces. In fact, it’s so small that you might not even remember that you have it on you.

Note, however, that while it may be small, it provides more than enough power to supply its user with protection against threats. It’s generally available for between $270 and $300.

Bersa Thunder .380 ACP

Available for an affordable $250, the Bersa Thunder is an Argentinian-imported gun that’s equal parts aesthetically pleasing and functional. Made out of heavy-duty steel, this weapon can take a beating.

Measuring in at 6.6 inches in length, 4.7 inches in height, and 1.3 inches in width, it’s one of the bigger guns on this list. It weighs in at a healthy 20 ounces, placing it on the heavy side.

While it’s not as easy to conceal as some of the other weapons we’ve discussed, it’s still more than capable of being hidden. This makes it a solid option for self-defense purposes.

Charter Arms Undercover .38 Special

Next up is the Charter Arms Undercover .38 Special. Available for between $275 and $300, this little revolver packs a lot of wallop at a low price.

One of the smallest guns you’re going to find, its barrel measures in at 2 inches. Altogether, it possesses a length of approximately 4 inches and a height of approximately 2.5 inches. It weighs in at 16 ounces.

Made out of 100% stainless steel, this gun can take quite a bit of abuse. Possessing a double-action mechanism, it’s safe to conceal and carry.

Diamondback DB380

If you’re looking to spend as little money as possible, you might consider the Diamondback DB380. Available for approximately $200, it’s not the best gun on the market, but it will get the job done.

A compact gun, it measures in at around 5.25 inches in length and around 3.75 inches in height. Weighing in at a scant 8.8 ounces, it’s about as light of a gun as you’re ever going to find. Add all of this up and you’ve got a terrific concealed carry weapon.

Equipped with a special pin-block mechanism, this gun is extremely difficult to incidentally discharge. This allows you to safely carry it regardless of what you’re doing.

Taurus G2C 9mm

Another low-priced gun is the Taurus G2C 9mm. Like the Diamondback gun discussed above, it’s available for approximately $200. Despite its low price, however, it offers a great deal of power and accuracy.

Size-wise, this gun is a little bigger than some of the others on our list. It measures in at around 6.25 inches long and around 5 inches tall. Note, however, that this should still be small enough to conceal with ease.

A tough and durable gun, it’s built to thrive through everyday use. Equipped with a manual safety lock, it’s easy to keep from misfiring.

Rossi 971

The most expensive gun on this list, the Rossi 971 is available for around $400. Of course, with its added cost comes added functionality. It’s not only easier to cock than the other guns on this list, but it’s almost more accurate than them as well.

Make note, however, that for concealed carry purposes, this gun is on the large side. It measures in at around 8.5 inches in length and at around 4 inches in height. It also weighs a sizable 32 ounces.

Consisting of a stainless steel body and a polymer grip, it’s as durable of a gun as you’re going to find at its price.

EAA Windicator

When it comes to firearm triggers, trigger seller Timney Trigger can tell you all there is to know. And they won’t hesitate to tell you that the EAA Windicator has one of the best triggers in its price range. Allowing for both single and double-action shots, it’s a highly effective self-defense weapon.

Measuring in at around 7 inches long and around 5.5 inches high, it’s actually on the heavy side, weighing in at 30 ounces. Nonetheless, it can still be concealed under clothes.

Available for around $275, it’s as solid an option as any at this price range.

Hi-Point C-9

The Hi-Point C-9 is available at around $150, making it one of the cheapest guns in existence. While it doesn’t measure up to higher-end guns in terms of functionality, it does enough to provide adequate self-defense.

It measures in at approximately 6.75 inches long high and approximately 4 inches tall. Weighing in at around 30 ounces, it’s one of the heavier guns on our list. Nonetheless, it can be successfully concealed and carried throughout the day.

Constructed out of synthetic polymers, this gun isn’t ridiculously durable but is tough enough to thrive for at least a few years. All in all, it’s a solid gun for budget buyers.

Cobra Denali .380

One of the cheapest guns in the world, the Cobra Denali .380 is available for around $125. While it doesn’t possess the handle and accuracy of higher-end guns, it’s more than functional enough as a weapon of self-defense.

It’s important to note, however, that it can be a little difficult to cock. If you’re low on strength, you will likely have trouble with it.

However, in all other respects, it’s a suitable concealed carry gun. It’s compact, it’s lightweight, it’s durable, and it’s safe to have on you, regardless of whether or not it’s being used.

Kel-Tec P32 .32 ACP

Like most of the guns contained within this list, the Kel-Tec P32 .32 ACP is a compact gun that’s easy to conceal. Measuring in at 5 inches in length and 3.5 inches in height, it can be easily hidden under a shirt. Take into account that it only weighs 6.6 ounces, and you’ll nearly forget that you even have it on you.

Made out of a combination of synthetic polymers and stainless steel, it provides terrific grip and durability. This not only makes it easy to handle, but it also ensures its livelihood over years of consistent use.

Available for around $200, it’s as solid of a gun as you’re going to find at such a low price point. In essence, there’s no good reason for you not to buy it.
