Economical Luxury Travel: Learn How to Make It Happen

by Susan Paigeon July 12, 2019 ~ Leave a Comment

Economical luxury can seem like an oxymoron – after all, how you can travel in style if you are counting pennies? Well, there is excellent news for you because it absolutely is possible! With a little bit of know-how and some careful planning, you can have the holiday of your dream. So, if you want to figure out how to make this happen, check out these useful tips below:

Going In a Group? Consider a Private Jet

Yes, you read that right. When most people consider private air travel, they imagine that it is only for millionaires. Well, when you do the math, this isn’t always the case. Now, since you are planning a luxury trip, you are probably trying to save up for first class. However, if you are traveling as a group, then a Cessna rent may make more sense for you.

In case this sounds a little too good to be true, let’s break it down. See, unlike in business or first class, a Santa Monica jet charter– or from anywhere, really – doesn’t charge per person. Instead, you are only required to pay the fees for the entire trip. So, depending on the size of the plane, you may be able to fit up to 10 or more people! Thus, you will be saving yourself quite a bit of money.

Travel during the Off Season

You don’t need to be told that traveling during the peak season isn’t a good idea. Throughout this period, prices of air travel, hotels, and more skyrocket. Not to mention, you have to contend with the crowd of people who have also descended on the same location.

During the off season, though, prices drop sharply. Since hotels and other tourist spots are desperate for money, they will offer you some truly amazing deals. Therefore, you can have the same great holiday for less.

Go Off the Beaten Path

In case you don’t want to travel during the off season, consider going somewhere that isn’t as well-known as some of the more popular tourist destinations. There are so many overlooked destinations that can offer you the same experiences as the more famous ones.

Of course, since they don’t expect an influx of tourists every season, their prices are a lot lower. So, go ahead and do your research. Whether you are looking for sandy beaches, cultural experiences, or anything else, you will be able to find the perfect (budget) spot.

Consider the Exchange Rate

If you would like to go on an overseas trip, consider countries where the exchange rate is in your favor. This way, you can stretch a smaller budget quite a way. For instance, you will find that five-star hotels and resorts will be a lot cheaper for you than other parts of the world. In fact, most things including food, transport, and more will come at a steep discount thanks to the currency conversion.

These are the top travel tips that you should follow if you want to spend less on a truly luxurious holiday. Once you realize how easy it is to manage, your vacations will never be the same again!
